Absence Reporting

To report an absence to the school, please use one of the options below: 

• Through Parent's Portal

• By email, aberchirder.sch@aberdeenshire.gov.uk with your child/children’s name, year and the date(s) and reason for absence

• By phone on 01466 405920 , selecting option 1 and leaving a voicemail with the pupil(s) name, year and date(s) and reason for absence

Please remember if your child/children are to be absent from school you must let the school know as soon as possible, prior to the start of the school day.  It is essential and important that any absence from school is communicated to the school as early as possible preferrably with a reason why your child/children will not be in school. 

If your child/children are off school and we do not have a reason for their absence by early morning or early afternoon, this will need to be followed up by contacting parents/emergency contacts.
