Aberchirder Primary school have a great relationship with our parents & the community. We currently have several volunteers who help at the school. We are always welcoming anyone who wishes to share their skills and time with us and if anyone would like to volunteer their time, please get in touch with the school office.
Mr Duncan Robb
Mr Robb comes into the school throughout the week to take groups of children out to our newly erected Polycrub and school gardens. Mr Robb teaches the children about growing vegetables, looking after them as well as the beautiful flowers that decorate the entrance of the school. Mr Robb gives a lot of his time to the school and all our children, giving them valuable experiences.
Mr Barton
Mr Barton and Mrs Duncan take children from every class every fortnight to help with the village's Community Garden. The children love going to help out and learn lots of new things during their visit, sometimes getting to take home some produce!
The Men’s Shed
The Men’s shed have been very supportive over the years and are regularly invited to a range of school events and activities. Every Christmas, they support all the children in our nursery and school with a visit to see Santa and receive a special gift.
Volunteers
We have several members of our Parent Council who volunteer their time to help with our events in school. We are also very lucky to have parents who volunteer their time to go on school trips with classes when necessary.
